Japan Philharmonic Orchestra The 388th Subscription Concert in Yokohama Unofficial

In this performance, we will hear two of the greatest works by Schumann and Tchaikovsky, two leading composers of the Romantic era. Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto is a masterpiece full of powerful and heroic sounds, simple and beautiful melodies derived from folk songs, and rhythmic parts symbolizing folk dances. It will be a happy moment to hear this timelessly loved work with a solo by one of Japan's most renowned pianists, Michie Koyama. In the second half, the Japan Philharmonic will perform Schumann's Symphony No. 4, which was written in his early 30s and has an impressive melody and rhythms that are full of youthful vigor.
