Kanagawa University Mandolin Ensemble
Fifty-six years ago, in the spring of 1967, the Kanagawa University Mandolin Ensemble "KME" (Kanagawa University Mandolin Club at that time) was born, and in November 1971, the first regular concert was held. Since then, more than 500 members have been involved with KME with the goal of holding a regular concert every fall.

Mandolin Ensemble Hamaroku
Hamaroku was formed in 2019 by alumni and former members of the Kanagawa University Mandolin Ensemble "KME". The name of the orchestra "Hamaroku" comes from "Yokohama Rokkakubashi", the hometown of Kanagawa University. The group aims to spread the joy and appeal of mandolin music to the local community, from local Yokohama students to the elderly, as well as to those who have never heard of mandolin before.
