Upon receiving news of the devastating damage caused by the earthquake that struck the southern part of the Republic of Turkey on February 6, 2023, we pray for the repose of the souls of the victims and express our heartfelt sympathy to those who have been affected.
In response to this situation, we would like to hold "Southeast Turkey Earthquake Relief Concert: Atsuko Sueomi & Yuki Miyata Koto & Harp Duo Recital" to support the relief and reconstruction efforts in Turkey.
This charity concert will be held at the invitation of TÜRK JAPON VAKFI, a foundation established to build a cultural bridge between Turkey and Japan, and will be held from April 2022 at the CSO Hall in Ankara, Istanbul, Turkey, organized by YeldeIrenei Sanat and supported by the Japanese Consulate in Stanbul, Kadikoy District, and the Turkish Presidential Hall (CSO Hall). The tour will be a continuation of the Turkey Tour held in Ankara and Istanbul.
In the two performances in Ankara, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of Japan in Turkey, Mr. Kazuhiro Suzuki, gave a speech prior to the performance, and the Embassy of Japan in Turkey and the Consulate of Japan in Istanbul introduced the concert on their social media. The concert was introduced on social media by the Embassy of Japan in Turkey and the Japanese Consulate in Istanbul.
This year's tour is focused on supporting the recovery from the Great East-Southeast Earthquake in Turkey, and through the arts of both Turkey and Japan, we will introduce to the Japanese audience traditional Turkish music and culture along with Japanese traditional music, in order to strengthen the bond between the two countries and to support the recovery together with the audience. We hope to work together with our guests to support the reconstruction efforts.
We would be happy if you could join us for a time filled with prayer and peace of mind.
