Premium Classics Vol.3 Kenta Saito & Ryukyu Philharmonic Orchestra Unofficial

The third concert of the Ryukyu Philharmonic Premium Classical Concert (May 20, 7:00 p.m. at Ryukyu Shimpo Hall) will feature Kenta Saito, first prize winner of the 2019 "7th Adolph Saxophone International Competition".
　The first half of the concert will feature a concerto for alto saxophone and string orchestra composed in 1934, in the last year of Russian composer Alexander Glazunov's life, as well as "a rhapsody using melodies from Japanese folk songs and Tsugaru shamisen phrases! (premiered on November 26, 2010), which was created at the request of saxophonist Nobuya Sugawa, who asked for a rhapsody using Japanese folk melodies and Tsugaru shamisen phrases, to be performed with strings and harp in the background. Please enjoy the variety of expressions of the saxophone.
　In the second half, Ryukyu Philharmonic regular conductor Hiroyasu Matsumoto will perform Mozart's Symphony No. 29 under his baton. This performance will use natural horns, an ancient instrument, to reproduce the tone of the horns of Mozart's time, which is probably the first attempt of its kind in the prefecture.
