Duo Axia (Yui Fushiki, piano; Tokuka Yamaguchi, cello), which was formed in Berlin in 2017 and has performed 12 concerts in both Japan and Germany, will finally reach the final chapter of its "Beethoven Zycles" series of performances of Beethoven's works in their entirety.
Pianist Yui Fuseki graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, received a German National Performer's Certificate from the Berlin University of the Arts, and returned to Japan.
Tokuka Yamaguchi, a cellist, graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, and studied at the Berlin University of the Arts as well as at the Master's Program in Music, and is currently based in Berlin as a freelance player, performing and teaching mainly in the fields of orchestra and chamber music.
Duo Axia was selected as a "Piotita Resident Artist" in 2020. Expect to see them as a breathtaking ensemble.
