Tchaikovsky: This piece, subtitled "Piece in Sonatina Form," opens with a large-scaled and moving theme, which you may have heard used in the opening of the NHK Symphony Hour or in a pharmaceutical company commercial. The charm of the strings radiates from this piece.

Rachmaninoff: It is difficult to convey the quality of this piece unless a virtuoso pianist, who knows both sweet and sour sides of the piece, can play it with ease. It is a true masterpiece.
Rachmaninoff: "Vocalise" is a small piece of about 6 minutes, but the fusion of orchestral sounds and the soprano singer is fascinating.
W.A. Mozart: Mozart had very few works in minor keys, but this piece is a masterpiece of the finest of the finest. Just listening to the theme, one is attracted to it.
