Nijikura - Talk, Smiles, Music and the 1st Unofficial

Suntory Hall and the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra will hold a new series of weekday afternoon concerts, "Japan Philharmonic & Suntory Hall Nijikura" on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, Tuesday, September 26, 2023, and Friday, February 2, 2024 (all starting at 14:00) at the Main Hall.
　The series has been renewed from the previously held "Tottooki Afternoon" and the title of the series has been expressed in an easy-to-understand manner as "Nijikura" (classical concert at 2:00 pm on weekdays). This new matinee series will feature high-quality performances of masterpieces accompanied by friendly talks. Against the backdrop of diversifying lifestyles of various generations, the series aims to provide a luxurious time on weekday afternoons and support "mental vitality" filled with "smiles".
　The navigator who will be the face of the series will continue to be Katsunori Takahashi, an actor with a broad interest in music in general, and the conductor and soloists will be a splendid lineup of popular and talented performers.
　The concert will begin at 1:40 p.m. with a 10-minute organ pre-concert, allowing the audience to enjoy the magnificent sound of one of the world's largest organs, of which Suntory Hall is proud to be a part.
　The first concert on May 2 will feature Katsunori Takahashi performing with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra in an orchestral work with narration.
