Folk songs from all over Japan will be presented with shamisen accompaniment and singing. In collaboration with a theatrical company, the performance will proceed in a style that introduces folk songs through a play, making it a production that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and genders.
This year's theme is "Ako Ronin. This year's theme is "Ako Ronin" and will focus on min'yo songs related to Ako Ronin. In addition to the shamisen, there will be koto, shinobue (bamboo flute), taiko drums, and many other instruments.
