La Folle Journée TOKYO 2023

La Folle Journée was born in the French port city of Nantes in 1995 and arrived in Tokyo in 2005 as La Folle Journée au Japon. 2007 saw over 1 million visitors, and by 2019 a total of 8.66 million people had visited the festival. It has grown to become one of the largest music festivals in the world.

Children are welcome at La Folle Journée. While most classical concerts are open to children of elementary school age and older, La Folle Journée has been open to preschool children since 2005, when the festival was first held, in the hope that they will be exposed to real music at a young age. Please feel free to bring your children.

Parents and children are invited to move their bodies, feel the rhythm, and enjoy classical music with their ears and bodies while being enveloped by the rich sounds of the orchestra!
