musia Miyabina Concert - Koto

This year, musia will start Japanese music events!
The first event is "Koto".

The player is Keiko Yoshiba, a koto player who was taught directly by Misaoju Nosaka, who developed the 25-string koto and was honored as a Person of Cultural Merit,
Keiko Yoshiba is also a pianist.
She has been active in musia since its establishment and is a mother of two children.
In addition to performing and leading classes, she is also active as an instructor, teaching on commission from the Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education.
On the day of the event, she will give a commentary by herself, who is also well versed in Western music,
The performance will also include an explanation by the player himself, who is well versed in Western music,
The program is designed to be enjoyable for those who are not familiar with Japanese traditional music and for those who have never heard it before.

The first and third stages will feature performances on the traditional 13-stringed koto, which has been played since ancient times,
The second stage will feature the 25-string koto, which has been improved as a solo instrument with a wider range of sound and can be played equally well with Western instruments,
You can also enjoy listening to a comparison of the two instruments.

Each concert will last about 30 minutes.
*The 13-string koto will be used for (1) and (3), and the 25-string koto for (2).
You can also enjoy the concert as a pre-concert or post-concert performance by combining ① and ②, ② and ③, etc.

Musia concerts are open to everyone from 0 to 100 years old (or older).
*Reservations can be made before the venue on the day of the concert.
Admission to Seseragi Kan is free.
*For the purpose of preventing infectious diseases, each admission will be limited and recorded.
*We ask for your cooperation in taking precautions against infectious diseases such as temperature check, disinfection, and wearing masks upon entering the venue.
