The 55th Regular Concert of the Hikarigaoka Orchestra
2023/06/11(su.) 14:30 Starting
Hikarigaoka IMA Hall (4F, Hikarigaoka IMA Central Building, Nerima-ku, Tokyo) (Tokyo)
Toshihiro Yonezu, conductor, and Sachie Nagai, pianist, had planned to perform this piece in January 2021, but due to a state of emergency declared just before the concert due to the new coronavirus infection, it became difficult to secure a place to practice and the concert was canceled.
Now that we are finally able to perform together, the entire group feels as if we have returned to retrieve something we forgot two and a half years ago.
Ms. Nagai's piano has a truly wonderful tone, and we hope that many of you will be able to hear it.
We are sincerely looking forward to seeing you at the concert.
We are a two-manual orchestra that has been active in Hikarigaoka since 1994.
We are not a large orchestra, but we value ensemble above all and try to listen to each other's sound.
We practice with the aim of being as small but spicy as the pepper used in the orchestra's logo, while at the same time remembering to have fun.
We play mainly two winds music, and we actively play classical and romantic music, as well as modern and contemporary music by Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Ravel, Debussy, and others. We also challenge ourselves to play a variety of instrumentation, such as the string ensembles of Tchaikovsky and Brahms, and Mozart's Concertantes.
Due to the large number of applicants, the ticket giveaway has ended.
