Kawagoe Sowa Soyukai Brass Band

The year 2023 is the 45th anniversary of the Kawagoe Kanwa Soyukai Symphonic Band.
Also, the full subscription concert will be held for the first time in 4 years since 2019 before Corona, and we will present a concert of our very best!

In the first part, we will perform Toshio Mashima's Mont Fuji Fuji again, which was very well received at the last Family Concert. If you missed it due to scheduling conflicts, or if you would like to hear it again, please do not miss it. We will also perform Eishi Suzuki's Sergei Montage, a montage of Sergei Rachmaninoff's piano concerto, which celebrates the 150th anniversary of his birth on April 1, 2023. Then comes the main part of Part 1. In commemoration of the 45th anniversary of the founding of the group, we commissioned a new work to Mr. Yuichi Abe, who commissioned a symphonic poem "Kawagoe" for the 100th anniversary of Kawagoe City last year. The title of the piece is "Symphonic Poem "The Creation"" Please come and hear the world premiere live.

In the second part, we will perform two gorgeous masterpieces from opera! Cavalleria Rusticana will be arranged by the well-known Akira Shishikura, fusing the 2007 version and the 2018 version, and will be presented in the same order of the opera's story. Finally, Lohengrin will be arranged by Makoto Onodera, and the Hoshino High School Brass Band Wind Orchestra will be our guest for the banda to create a stunning final performance.

This superb program will be at Westa Kawagoe on Sunday, May 28.
