We are pleased to present a special program featuring the "Mysteries" series of wind band works by Akira Nishimura, one of Japan's leading composers. For this occasion, we will commission and premiere his work "Mysteries IX".
Many of you may be familiar with "Heterophony for Swirling Dance" from the 2015 All Japan Symphonic Band Competition, but this concert will feature all of the works in the series.

Program
Ritual IX "Asra" is a commissioned work by the orchestra and will be performed for the first time in the world.
Rite VI will be performed by a brass sextet.
