The program that led to the encounter between Chisako Takashima and Shinichi Karube was "Mezamashi TV.
Mezamashi Classics has these three meanings.

The memorable first performance of Mezamashi Classics, or "Mezakura," was held in September 1997. Our initial goal was to continue this concert at least three times, and it has grown to become a popular concert that has been performed more than 350 times in total.

This project started with the concept of "making classical music more accessible and easy to enjoy," and has grown into a popular concert series with a total of more than 350 performances. The program has been extremely popular because of the exquisite combination of the two main cast members, the splendid guests each time, the genre-defying music selections ranging from classical, tango, jazz, musicals, and pop, the excellent performances by top-notch musicians, and the extremely entertaining talks.

In addition to the Summer Special, a summer festival of classical music held at Suntory Hall, and regular sold-out performances at Oji Hall in Ginza four times a year, the group performs nearly 20 concerts a year in various locations throughout Japan.
