Urawa Philharmonic Orchestra

The Urawa Philharmonic Orchestra is an amateur orchestra active in Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture. Founded in 1986, the orchestra has about 50 members and performs ensemble-oriented music in an at-home atmosphere.
　Usually, the orchestra performs mainly small-scale classical repertoire with a two-manual orchestra, but this time, to commemorate the 70th regular concert, the orchestra chose to focus on Rachmaninoff's Symphony No. 2, a large-scale symphony, after soliciting the wishes of the members. All members of the orchestra are freshly inspired by the romantic charm of Russian music.
　The concert will open with Weber's Festive Overture, followed by a lively performance of Mozart's Symphony No. 36 "Linz" in the middle section.
　The Urawa Philharmonic's main performance venue is the Saitama Arts Theater (600-seat music hall), which is currently closed for renovation. Please enjoy the rich Urawa Philharmonic sound that fills this hall once again for the 70th anniversary.
