One of the leading contemporary British composers and Kazushi Ohno's close friend, Mark-Anthony Turnage's "Time Flies" will finally receive its Japan premiere after two postponements due to the Corona disaster. The third movement, "Tokyo Time," is a hymn to a metropolis full of festive moods. The second half of the concert will feature a stunning performance of Lutoslawski's masterpiece, the "Cello Concerto," by Michiaki Ueno, winner of the cello section of the 2021 Geneva International Music Competition. In the second half, the hall will be filled with the warm sounds of "Enigma Variations," written by the great British composer Elgar to express his love for those close to him.
