Kyushu Wind Ensemble

This is the first appearance by the Kyushu Wind Ensemble of a work by Oscar Navarro, a Spanish composer who studied film music in Los Angeles. The work is full of charm, with clear melodies, strong rhythms, and magnificent orchestration.
The clarinet concerto, a rarity for a brass band, will be performed by Seiji Yokogawa, a leading figure in the Japanese clarinet world who is still active at the forefront of the field. This is a gem of a time to fully appreciate the rich sound, lyrical music, and advanced technique of the clarinet, which is colored by the colorful wind music.
Zeus, Apollo, and Aphrodite.
The suite is over 40 minutes long and consists of 10 pieces named after Greek mythological gods such as Zeus, Apollo, and Aphrodite, but each piece is rich in standard and appealing.
The world of Greek mythology, presented by a large orchestra including cello, will be enjoyed together with Mendelssohn's masterpiece "Overture for Wind Orchestra" that opens the concert.
