Ashiya Symphony Orchestra 96th Regular Concert

We are pleased to welcome Mr. Takuo Yuasa, who has long been based in the United Kingdom and has been active internationally, and have planned a program of his reports from the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Irish composer Harty's "Comedy Overture" is a familiar and lighthearted piece with a succession of melodies in the style of Irish folk songs. The English composer Diliath's "Summer Song" is a lyrical piece that expresses summer, euphoria, joy, sorrow, and despair. Elgar's Symphony No. 1, the last piece on the program, is a popular program that is regularly performed not only in Elgar's native England but also in the United States and throughout Europe.
