Bruckner by Toshiyuki Ueoka, New Japan Philharmonic Unofficial
50th Anniversary Special Concert
2023/03/25(sa.) 14:00 Starting
Bruckner Symphony No. 8 (Haas version) under the baton of Toshiyuki Ueoka, the 4th Music Director
At the request of Mr. Ueoka, the program for this concert was requested by the audience who attended the regular concert on September, 2021. Mr. Kamioka's wish that the audience should hear Bruckner's Symphony No. 8, which received the overwhelming number of requests, will be realized.
The New Japan Philharmonic has performed Bruckner's Symphonies Nos. 3, 6, 7, and 9, all of which have been highly acclaimed for their own unique musicality, and some of which have been made available on CD. Bruckner's last symphony, the 8th Symphony, is also regarded as one of his greatest masterpieces due to its profound and majestic sound and grand scale. After a lapse of two and a half years, this program has been realized. We hope that this will be a time to share with you the musical world that we have created together under the baton of Mr. Ueoka, and to share the joy once again. Please look forward to this one-off special concert in the year of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the orchestra.
