Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, summer 2008. The two musicians became friends when they performed together in the trombone section of the Saito Kinen Orchestra, conducted by Seiji Ozawa, and began a friendship that transcended national borders. Later, Colin Williams joined the New York Philharmonic, whose brass section boasts the world's top-ranked and most popular brass section. Masaru Tamaki has moved from the world of orchestras to that of soloists, and has expanded his activities as if he were flying all over the world map. The exchange has continued during this time, with performances in Tokyo & Osaka in 2018 and in the U.S. in 2021 and 2023. 5 years after his first performance in Japan, look forward to the world's newest duo trombone! The special guest for the Tokyo concert will be Martin Skippers from the Concertgebouw Orchestra of Oranda, one of the world's leading orchestras, making this dream collaboration between Japan, Europe, and the United States come true.
