Percussion ensemble "Potbelly" has been performing once a year since its formation in 1983, and for this 40th anniversary concert, we have prepared a plan that will delight the audience even more than usual.
As a special guest, we will welcome percussionist Kyoko Kato, who is active in Tokyo and elsewhere in Japan, and will perform excerpts from the Butoh suite "Gaîne," arranged by Kato's teacher, former Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra member Jun Sugawara. Percussionist Daiji Yokota, composer of two of the pieces to be performed (A Room with a Cat and A Blank Slate), will be invited to speak between pieces.
The other pieces will also be varied and fun-filled. We look forward to seeing you all at the concert.
