Belle Époque - A Beautiful Age.

The program will feature five pieces that are full of character, from Millaud's King René's Fireplace and Nielsen's Woodwind Quintet, which are often seen in woodwind quintet concerts, to orchestral arrangements of pieces that everyone knows, such as Rossini's The Barber of Seville and Stravinsky's Pulcinella.

People who hear a woodwind quintet for the first time often say that it sounds like an orchestra, even though there are only five instruments in the quintet! This concert is sure to be a discovery of what five instruments can sound like. Even if you are not familiar with classical music, you can enjoy this concert with easy-to-understand program notes.
