The film was directed by Academy Award-winning director Sydney Pollack, known for his film "The End of Love and Sorrow. The film was supposed to be released the year after the album's release, but was abandoned unfinished due to problems with synchronizing the sound and images due to the lack of a katchin at the beginning and end of the cut. But now, after many years and with the help of technological developments, the film has finally been completed.
