Ensemble Levent's woodwind quintet members have been performing at the Noh Theater since 2019.
The concert has been well received as a concert to enjoy the "sound of flutes from the East and West," including the Oriental shakuhachi and the Western flute/clarinet.
This fourth concert will focus on the "individual tones" of each instrument.
While shakuhachi player YORITA Mamino's solo performance will remain unchanged, we have commissioned a work from composer NAKAMURA Tadashisa, who himself studied clarinet at the Vienna State University, and will premiere a piece focusing on the sounds of each Western woodwind instrument.
We will also welcome Yasuteru Kobayakawa, a Noh performer of the Shite school of the Kanze school, with whom we spent our university years.
We hope you will enjoy this "deepened" performance that goes one step beyond the evolution of the past three performances.
