　The New Japan Symphony Orchestra's 110th Anniversary Concert will feature the great organist Bruckner and his mentor Wagner.
It is well known that Bruckner's Symphony No. 7 is deeply related to Wagner's death. The use of the Wagner tuba, a new instrument invented by Wagner, in the second and fourth movements is meant to pay homage to the revered Wagner. Bruckner was in the midst of writing the second movement when he heard the news of Wagner's death. The world premiere in Wagner's hometown of Leipzig was a great success, as Bruckner himself said the applause lasted for 15 minutes after the performance. The world premiere of Bruckner's Seventh Symphony, which brought him fame as a symphonic composer, was a resounding success, and we hope you will enjoy it.
