Formed in 2016 by four members who studied at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels' Department of Ancient Music. The name is derived from the Japanese name of Iris, the symbolic flower of Brussels.
The group is named "AYAME" after the Japanese name of the iris, the symbolic flower of Brussels, and they perform a repertoire of 18th century Parisian quartets as well as French quartets from the 17th and 18th centuries.
The group's core repertoire consists of 18th century Parisian quartets, and the group continues to develop a program centered on French chamber music of the 17th and 18th centuries.
The group has been highly acclaimed for its meticulous music making based on expression and musical interpretation cultivated in Europe, and has performed at the Brussels Music Festival
She has been invited to perform at the Midis Minimes festival in Brussels, a series of concerts throughout Belgium, and a concert tour of northern Italy.

In the fall of 2018, the Quartet was selected for the Kita-Topia International Music Festival in Kita-ku, Tokyo, and has also performed in Osaka and Kyoto.
