Thanks to your support, Orchestra Nipponica celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
To commemorate our 20th anniversary, we have planned and programmed a series of three concerts to allow the audience to enjoy the diverse appeal of Japanese orchestral works while also providing an overview of the history of the creation of orchestral works.
The final concert in the series, the 20th Anniversary Concert III (42nd) in March, will feature Kozaku Yamada's "Mandala Flower" as a work from the "first decade" of the history of the creation of orchestral works. In addition to rarely performed pieces by Maki Ishii and Toru Takemitsu, there will be the Japanese premiere of a work by Nagatomi, whose score was discovered last year, and the world premiere of a work commissioned by Ichiro Nohira, a music advisor, which represents "the decade leading up to the present".
