From the organizer
The "German Organ Mass," the largest collection of organ music by the great Bach, consists of 27 pieces. Following last year's first part, the second part of 13 pieces will be held at Fukuyama Catholic Church.

In the first part in December, Ms. Sayaka Nakatani played the Prelude, Kyrie, Gloria, Catechism Chorale, and Declaration of Faith with sufficient volume and detailed stop control, giving a richly expressive performance.

The second part of the 13 pieces begins with the Lord's Prayer and ends with an overwhelming fugue. I am sure this will be an uplifting concert.

Although it is possible to enjoy Bach's music without knowing anything about Christianity, the enjoyment and pleasure of listening to it will surely increase if you know a little about it.

Therefore, in this concert, we will explain this collection as liturgical (mass) music as we proceed with the performance. After the concert, there will be a Catholic mass at 18:00. It might be fun to attend and confirm what you learned at the concert.

Whether you heard the first half of the concert or not, please come and listen to it. We look forward to your reservations.
