Euterpe Music Band 36th Regular Concert

2023/01/28(sa.) 14:00 Starting

Fuchu no Mori Art Theatre, Vienna HallTokyo

Official https://symphoniaeuterpe.wixsite.com/euterpe

Euterpe welcomes for the first time Mr. Seitaro Ishikawa as conductor, and will present a program that will immerse you in the rich charm of the classics of Mozart, Schubert, and Mendelssohn.

Mendelssohn Symphony No. 3 ("Scotland"), composed 180 years ago, is one of Mendelssohn's masterpieces. Many of you may know that Mendelssohn was inspired by a visit to Scotland.
Mendelssohn visited the palace of Mary Queen of Scots, and was inspired by the tragic life of Mary Queen of Scots 100 years before his visit. In other words, it is a song about a scene from about 300 years ago.

Under the passionate guidance of Mr. Ishikawa, we have practiced the piece while thinking about the Scottish scenes that Mendelssohn saw and felt, and have meticulously created a sound that is "beyond the classical".
We hope that everyone who attends the concert will be able to step back 180 and 300 years to the English land and feel this scene with us.

All seats are unreserved for this concert.
Advance tickets are free of charge, so please register through our website.

We continue to need to take precautions against infection, but we wish you all the best and enjoy the best of music with us.
We look forward to seeing you at the Vienna Hall of the Fuchu Art Park Art Theater.
