New Year's Festival Orchestra

The New Year Festival Orchestra was formed in 1985 by Ryo Ando, Kennosuke Seiya, Takako Ando, and other alumni and trainers of the Waseda University Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as professional friends from the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra, etc. Since 1997, soprano Fumiko Okita has joined the orchestra as its resident singer, and since 2000, Tomoshige Yamamoto has been its soloist.
