Johann Sebastian Bach lost his parents one after another by the age of 10 and became an orphan. Even in those days when death was so close at hand, how painful this loss must have been for a child so young.

Johann Sebastian Bach was taken in by his eldest brother, Johann Christoph, who was the organist in Orndorf, and taught him music. He spent several months in the moonlight copying from his brother's collection of sheet music. Bach's life was then spent in Lüneburg, Arnstadt, Mühlhausen, and Weimar (......), all the while relying on his musical skills.

Bach's keyboard works, such as the "Mean Clavier," "Inventions and Sinfonias," and "French Suite," are often performed on the piano these days. However, all of these works were written in his 30s or later, when he was in his prime. What kind of works did Bach write when he was young? What kind of people and works did he encounter?

This time, we will present Bach's works up to the age of 30, focusing on the "Mela Codex" and the "Andreas Bach Book," which are said to have been compiled by his elder brother Johann Christoph.
