Ten years have passed since March 2011, when a concert was held as "Wako 311" to support the recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake. 10 years have passed since then, and the orchestra has been practicing Mahler's "Resurrection" since September of the previous year, and the chorus since November, with the assumption that the final concert would be held in May 2021. However, there was no prospect of lifting the restriction on the number of people on the stage and audience seats for the performance as well as the Corona Vortex and practice venue, so on March 14, 2021, the first part of the concert was chorus and piano accompaniment. Mahler's "Resurrection" by the Wako 311 Choir, Miki Oda's "Gunsei," children's chorus, and the Keio Shiki High School Wagner Male Chorus. The second part was orchestral performance. Mahler "Funeral" and Dvorak Symphony No. 9 "New World" were performed.
However, there were many opinions that they did not want to end there, and the volunteers of the members who performed in this concert talked about it and decided to hold the first concert on April 30, 2022 at the Nerima Cultural Center on the premise that they would one day perform "Resurrection," Mahler's Symphony No. 1 "Titan" (with a flower chapter), Beethoven's Leonore Overture No. 3 (arranged by Mahler). We will hold the second concert following the first one.
