Rei Yoshida Violin Concert VOYAGE Night Session

We are pleased to present a concert by Rei Yoshida, a violinist active in Paris, under the theme of "voyage.
Rei Yoshida's music leaves an indelible impression on listeners because his life itself is a "journey. Born in Japan, Yoshida began playing the violin at an early age, but moved to Paris in the third grade of elementary school. While attending a school in Paris, where there are many immigrants from the Middle East and other countries, he has continued his activities based in Paris to this day, creating his worldview while interacting with people of various nationalities, ideologies, and musical backgrounds who gather in this city.

While leading a diverse life, he also graduated from the violin department of the Conservatoire de Paris Region and remains faithful to the tradition of orthodox musical education. His playing is firmly molded, yet free and powerful, with a certain sadness and grace.

Sumi Tsuyoshi, who is in charge of visuals for this performance, has been working as an artist in Paris. It was during these activities that he met Mr. Rei Yoshida. In order to follow up the Paris performance with a performance in Osaka, he chose "travel" as the theme for this year's show. This is because I feel that VOYAGE is his life itself, and I feel that VOYAGE has a world view that is necessary in this day and age.

This is a special one-day "journey" concert where Rei Yoshida's music and Sumiki's visuals will fuse together. Please come and witness this opportunity for new discoveries and encounters.

Ray YOSHIDA Biography

Born in Tokyo in 1990, Ray Yoshida began playing the violin at the age of six. 1999 he moved to France, where he studied with Larissa Collos, Constantin Bogdanas, and Frederic Perasi. Graduated from the Violin Department of the Conservatoire de Region de Paris (CRR). Obtained the national diploma DEM. He continued his studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (CNSM) under Professor Olivier Charlier.
He was a member of the Atelier Ostinato orchestra from 2015 to 2018. As an orchestral player, he has performed in various halls around Paris, including the Bastille Opera, the Philharmonie de Paris, Salle Gaveau, the Créteil Cultural Hall, and the Théâtre de Roger-Barre, performing Baroque, Classical period and He performs a wide repertoire of classical works from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods, as well as contemporary music by Arnold Schoenberg and Olivier Messiaen.
