Kokubunji Philharmonic Orchestra 63rd Subscription Concert
2022/12/17(sa.) 14:00 Starting
Suginami Public Hall, Main Hall (Tokyo)
Official http://kokuphil.xrea.jp/concert.html
We are pleased to announce that we will hold a concert on Saturday, December 17.
We will perform Dvořák's No. 9 "From the New World," which has been the talk of the town since it was arranged as the background music for the historical drama "Kamakura-dono no 13-nin" (The 13 Lords of Kamakura)! The melody of the 4th movement, which is quoted in the film, as well as the 2nd movement, which is also familiar as "The Sun Goes Down on a Distant Mountain," will be one of the highlights of the performance.
The "Algerian Suite" is composed of four pieces, each with its own unique character and sound. Please enjoy the exotic sound of each piece, which evokes the title of the piece.
The Overture to the University Celebration" begins quietly and darkly, so at first you may think, "A celebration? But don't worry, it ends with a festive mood. The concert will be held during the cold season of Christmas.
The concert will be held at the time of Christmas and it will be colder than usual, but we hope you will be able to listen to the dense performance (planned) conducted by Mr. Ikariyama with passion and calmness.
Please come to Ogikubo and Suginami Public Hall on December 17!
