Shigehiko Kawaguchi's concert will be held at Platz Narashino Civic Hall.

He won the second prize at the 1st Chopin International Competition for Period Instruments and the highest prize at the Bruges International Competition for Old Music. He has performed at many European music festivals including the Florence May Festival and the "Chopin and His Europe" Festival in Warsaw. In 2018, he gave a recital of piano concertos in chamber music form with members of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in the Netherlands. On the modern piano, he performed the world premiere of the final draft of Poulenc's "Trio for Oboe, Bassoon and Piano" with world-renowned oboe player Nicholas Daniel in the United States in 2016. He holds a master's degree in ancient music from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music/ Amsterdam Conservatory of Music. Studied fortepiano under Takuko Ogura and Richard Eger.
