Gabriele Carcano, piano

Born in Turin in 1985. After graduating from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Turin, he went to Paris to study with master pianist Aldo Ciccolini. He continued his studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris, where he studied with Nicolas Angelisch and other famous pianists such as Richard Goude. He has appeared at many of the world's most prestigious concert halls, including Salle Pleyel in Paris, Parco della Musica in Rome, Konzerthaus in Berlin, Hercules Palace Hall in Munich, and Malinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, as well as with the Orchestre National de Montpellier, Orchestre Sinfonica Giuseppe Verdi di Milano, and the Orchestre National de Montpellier. In 2010, she was invited by Mitsuko Uchida to perform at the Marlboro Music Festival, and has frequently toured the U.S. with the festival in Boston and New York. In the same year, he received the prestigious Borletti Buitoni Fellowship Award, which is given to artists whose talent has been highly acclaimed. He has performed Beethoven's complete piano sonatas in London from September 2020 to May 2022 to great acclaim. He is currently teaching at the Pinheiro Conservatory in Italy.
