The Baritone Club is a baritone saxophone ensemble made up of seven Showa University of Music saxophone graduates, all of whom are baritone saxophonists and produce a powerful and colorful sound.
In order to further support the active graduates, the students who produce the group are also making a concerted effort to plan and produce their own productions. In addition, for the first time in the history of the Arts Management Course's self-produced performances, we are challenging the first performance of a new work by students who have been invited by the university. This is a dream collaboration between current music students and graduates!
In addition, this year's performance will open up new possibilities for the baritone saxophone with special guest Yasuto Tanaka, one of Japan's leading saxophonists and a visiting professor at the university.
Program
In order to have the audience enjoy the sound of the baritone saxophone in various genres of music, we will present classical music in the first part and pop music in the second part, which will be familiar to many people. In addition, the program includes a variety of compositions, from solo to septet, and we hope that you will enjoy listening to them while comparing the sound of each.
