Sayaka Sakomiyama (Pf.)

Born in Hikone City, Shiga Prefecture. Graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts with a degree in music.

She won the first prize in the elementary school division of the 20th Shiga Piano Competition. Selected for the 62nd All Japan Student Music Competition, Piano Division, Junior High School Section, Osaka. The 16th "Great Wall Cup" International Music Competition, Piano Division, University Section, 2nd Prize. The 17th Shiga Prefecture Newcomer's Concert, Piano Division, Excellence Prize. Awarded the Incentive Prize at the 45th Shiga Arts and Culture Festival. Grand Prize in the Duo Four Hands Division of the 2nd Neyagawa City Arcaspiano Competition.

（Performed in "The First Recital, a concert by up-and-coming artists in Shiga Prefecture" organized by Shiga Prefecture Cultural Promotion Organization.

In the summer of 2017, participated in a master class at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, and won 3rd prize at the Dichler Competition within the master class. In 2019, she formed the duo unit 《Lapin》 with Yuriko Yoshinobu, flute.

She has studied under Miho Funabashi, Chiharu Sakai, and Midori Nohara. Currently, while performing, she teaches younger students in Shiga Prefecture.
