Heiligenstadt Philharmonic Orchestra

"We, the Heiligenstadt Philharmonic Orchestra, are a new orchestra launched in 2019 by amateur players who love the traditional sound of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, considered the world's best. The wind and percussion section uses the same Viennese-style instruments as the Vienna Philharmonic - the so-called wienerhorn, wiener oboe, Wiener Akademie-style clarinet, and goatskin and hand-tuned timpani. The orchestra will approach the sweet sounds of Vienna. Heiligenstadt" is the name of the 19th district of Vienna, famous for the paths that Beethoven drew in his countryside symphony, the house where he wrote his will, and the Heuriger (local wine taverns). We hope that you can feel the breath of the land, which has been loved by the Viennese people, from our sound.

Although the Corona disaster has prevented us from running the festival as smoothly as we would have liked, we will be able to celebrate our fourth concert this year. We will be performing Schubert's "Tragic" No. 4 for the fourth time in a row. The first piece in the program named after the number "4" is Haydn's Symphony No. 44 "Sadness," a "sad" combination, but the second half will start bright and lively with Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 4 "Italy. The second movement and below are performed in the "Honmyo" version, which was revised by the composer himself in 1834. There are some differences from the familiar "Italia" version, and the performance opportunities are not many. We hope you don't miss it!"
